I got the Sodalite Dragon all finished up yesterday. On this one, I think the stone took longer than the dragon.

Livestream
I did a live stream yesterday on TikTok and plan to go live again this afternoon around 2 or 3 CST. I didn't get the larger dragon painted finished, but it's getting there.

Happy Halloween, everyone!
Halloween is a special time of the year that is celebrated worldwide. It is a modern interpretation of All Hallow's Eve and an opportunity for many to continue ancient Samhain rituals and traditions. During this season, families often decorate their homes to embrace the festive spirit.
If you want to decorate your house for Halloween, you can use Smoky Quartz. This stone ranges from light smoky tones to warm brown hues, and it is believed to have a grounding and protective energy. Additionally, moonstone is a fitting gemstone for Halloween, as legend has it that it captures the essence of moonlight. Its ghostly, ethereal glow is particularly appropriate for this time of year.
Card Back Preview:
I just finished up the card back. The back of the card will also act as a bonus crystal that I will include in the book. The crystal is double-terminated quartz, and I will have a write-up of this stone on the last page of the book.
It's the final week! I'm pushing ads like crazy, so hopefully, we can make it if we don't cross that finish line in time. Don't worry. I'll try again in a few months, maybe after the holidays. I won't give up on this project. I've put too much love and energy into the artwork not to try again.

Once I reach 100 subscribers, each deck will come with a free piece of selenite/satin spar.
So most selenite sold in stores is really satin spar. True selenite is rarer and grows in a different structure. Not to be confused with Icelandic Spar, which is calcite or TV stone, which is Ulexite (but both are very similar in appearance)
What the dragon is holding is true selenite. What most people see in stores is satin spar. And what I'll be including if we get to 100 subscribers on YouTube is satin spar (sorry, I can't afford real selenite lol)
Both Selenite and Satin Spar are gypsum minerals and geologically almost the same thing and metaphysically have the same properties. Stain spar has just been called selenite for so long as a trade name that it's hard to correct these days. There is also desert rose selenite, which is gypsum accruing with sand, also in the same family, and red desert rose, which is a red barite and a totally different stone. Some trade names over the years have made crystal collecting difficult, where the same stone can have more than one name, or stones are given nicknames or just the wrong names. I plan to put an index in the back of the book to help with trade names and if a stone has any nicknames.

We have 13 days to go! I know I sound like a broken record, but sharing really does help. Share on all your social media; you might be surprised who likes dragons. I'm still running ads everywhere & sending out emails, so I think we'll make it to the goal by the end.
Some people asked about the plans if we don't make it. Well, in the worst case, if we don't, I will relaunch after something are fixed. Possibly relaunching over on Backerkit. Since they don't allow AI art, it's becoming increasingly hard to compete with the hundreds of AI decks on Kickstarter now. It is also possible to submit the deck to some publishers and have it made that way.
But Kickstarter has always been good to me, so it was my first choice. My wonderful backers know I couldn't do my projects without you!
So be sure to check that out. I also added new mockups to the main story of the campaign.
Just finished the Hematite Dragon last night. That means I only have nine more cards to paint! I have to add the text a final details to a few, and then it's on to finishing the book.

We still have two weeks to go (well, 15 days), so I feel we can make it! If everyone can share the project & my ads keep running & performing well, I'm sure the project will get funded by the final day. We might not get to some of the stretch goals I had planned, but I'm going to take a look at my finances (after I see how much I've spent on advertising) and see if there is enough in the budget to do some of the upgrades I wanted to do.
